There are lots of goodies in this week's batch of releases! The biggie, for me, is K-drama You're Beautiful, which finally lands on Region 1 DVD. A two film collection of Yasujiro Ozu films from Criterion is also coming out, as well as Monkey Majik's best of album and Narsha's mini-album with the controversial (but hella catchy) "Bbi Ri Bba Bba."

It's a pretty light week, but there are still some goodies to be found. If you're an animal lover, there's a documentary about the rising population of stray animals in Japan that hits Region 2 DVD this week (Dogs, Cats & Humans). This is such a good week for region 1 DVD releases. Both Tokyo Sonata and Eye for an Eye arrive on Tuesday, May 4 from E1 Entertainment, and I can't wait for my copies to land! Miyavi's Oresama lands on R1 DVD this coming week, and for those waiting for an officially licensed, English-subbed Yatterman, both a Region 3 DVD and Region A Blu-ray edition street on Tuesday. I'm still hoping it eventually lands on R1 DVD, but my Fukakyon love knows no bounds, so I don't think I'll mind having more than 1 edition if it comes ( Read more... )
